Smith Electrical Contractors, Inc. (SEC) has been in operation for 40 years. We have specialized in the coal industry, and have diversified into other areas such as the natural gas and aggregate industries, as well as some light industrial and commercial. Throughout the years we have seen many changes and new technologies implemented. We have adapted and met every challenge that we have encountered. In order to be successful in any business, you must have stability and SEC's strength comes from long-term key personnel's combined experience of over 138 years. SEC's coal experience ranges from modifications of existing facilities as low as $1,500 to complete installation of 1500 TPH facilities as much as $4,500,000.00.

 

SEC is licensed in Virginia, Kentucky, West Virginia, North Carolina, Indiana, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Ohio, South Carolina, and Tennessee. We have a safety program that is MSHA and OSHA approved. Our employees are drug tested along with MSHA 5000-23 training annually and in addition to this we also conduct weekly on the job safety meetings. We also have MSHA certified electricians and all of our employees have years of experience working on prep plants, train/truck loaders, and other surface mining installations.
